Ingredients                      Amount                      Status

Soak the following dals in water i.e. 4 times the amount of dal for 30 minutes

Arhar kid al                      200 Gms

Moong Dhuli                    1 tsp

Chana dal                         1 tsp

Tamarind water

Seedless tamarind (imli)    1 tsp          Soaked in hot water,

                                                                           mash & stain the water

Masala:

 

Chana dal                        1 tsp

Urad dal                          1 tsp

Dhania Sabut                   1 tsp 

Bay leaves                       one

Long                               two

Cardamom                      1 small piece

Bari elaichi                      1/4

Heeng                             a pinch

 

Heat the pan stir-fries all the ingredients until light golden color.

Cool make powder of it.

Ghee                               4tsp

Mustard seeds                 1 tsp

Heeng                              a pinch

Curry leaves                     few

Onion                              2                         Chopped

Mix vegetables                 1 cup                    Chopped

Salt to taste

Turmeric powder             ½ tsp (haldi)

Red chili powder             ½ tsp

         

Method:

Heat pressure cooker, add ghee & mustard seeds.

When it splitters, add heeng, curry leaves, onion & saute.

Add vegetable, masala 2 tsp, red chili, salt , haldi & water.

Pressure-cook it for 10 minutes on low flame after one whistle.

When the pressure eases open the cooker lid and mash the dal.

Add imli water.
