Kalmi Vada

 

Ingredients 

 

Chana Dal 1 cup  Soaked for1- 2 hrs

Grind channa dal coarsely as thick as you can.

Spinach       1-2 tsp  Chopped

Garlic juice    ½ tsp (optional)    chopped

Green chili   ginger  1tsp   paste

Dhania Crushed  1 tsp                                       

Salt    ½ tsp -to taste

Red chili powder    ¼ tsp-(to taste)

Gram flour (Besan)   1-2 tsp heaped

Oil for frying

 

For garnishing:-

 

Chat masala     1 tsp

Green Coriander for garnishing   Chopped

Coriander mint Chutney

                       

Method:

 

Mix chana dal with spinach, garlic juice, green chili ginger paste, dhania salt, red chili powder &gram flour as required.

Heat oil in a karahi.

Make small round vadas on the back of katory covered with polythene.

Fry the balls until they turn yellow in color.

Leave them to cool.

Cut in2-3 pieces and fry again.

Place them in the serving plate.

Sprinkle chat masala, green coriander.

Serve with chutney.
