Dhokla

 

Ingredients

For Dhokla Mixture:

Besan  1cup

Suji    ½ cup

Salt   1 tsp level

Sugar  1 tsp level

Citric acid powder    ½ tsp

Water    ¾ cup

Eno fruit salt   1 tsp level

 

For water mixture:

Oil     1 tsp

Green chili     2-4   Cut length wise

Sarson  1 tsp

Curry leaves    few leaves

Coriander leaves  few

Sugar  2 tsp

Lemon juice   1 lemon

Water  1 1/2cup

 

Method:

For dhokla

Mix water and citric acid powder.

Mix besan, salt & sugar. Add water into it.

In a big pressure cooker put 2 glass of water for boiling.

Put a stand in the centre of the pressure cooker just a little height above the water level.

When the water starts boiling, add 1tsp of eno fruit salt to the basen mixture.

Put the mixture in the greased tin and place it in the cooker.

Cover the lid but do not put the pressure weight.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Take out the tin & let it cool. Cut in cubes.

Water Mixture

Heat oil & add sarson, chilies, & curry leaves.

Add water and sugar.

When it start boiling turn off the gas. Add lemon juice coriander leaves.

For serving

Pour the water mixture over the dhokla tin.

Let it rest for 10 minutes.
